Owner Sarit Melmed Werner has been graphic designing and consulting for over 15 years. She studied product design and practiced color consulting in Milan, Italy from 2002-2005. Her art direction has led clients to publish design books by Random House, and place products in stores such as Williams-Sonoma, Dean & Deluca, Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, Urban Outfitters, and Ralph Lauren. Sarit's work has been exhibited on TheDieline.com, and the Plymouth Cheese Giftbox was named one of Oprah's Favorite Things in November 2015. The Empress Branding aesthetic makes things - food, products, books and websites - memorable, appealing, and cool for audiences worldwide to enjoy.
In 2007, Sarit was hired as the head graphic artist for Ralph Lauren’s Blue Label womenswear in New York. For six years, Sarit’s RL work revolved around illustrating and designing vintage inspired crests, labels, hangtags, and custom trimmings and hardware for the equestrian chic RL woman.
In 2013, Sarit started Empress Branding in the mountains of Vermont. With her extensive design experience in the luxury industry and background in fine art, Sarit brings a unique approach to global brands and startups alike. She provides beautiful means to business objectives ranging from development to deliverables, online and in print.
